CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has announced a $150,000 reward to anyone who offers a tip that leads to finding suspects in two different 2022 postal worker robberies.

Both occurred on the West Side, the first being on Sept. 15, 2022, at around 12:15 p.m. The USPS said a man, between the ages of 20-25 and described as 6’1’’ and wearing a red hoodie and ski mask, approached a letter carrier on Washington Boulevard and near Lockwood and robbed a letter carrier at gunpoint. He then fled the scene in an early-2000s Audi.

A few months later, on Nov. 26, a letter carrier was robbed on Van Buren near Throop, shortly after 11:30 a.m. In this instance the male suspect, described as 20-25-years-old, around 5’7’’ tall, thin, and wearing a black ski-mask, dark-colored hoodie and blue jeans, approached the mail carrier with a gun and robbed them. He then jumped into a 2018 Gray Jeep Compass that had an Indiana dealer tag registration of 69304B and left the area.
