BENSENVILLE, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Things got a little heated Wednesday night during a meeting of the Fenton High School District 100 Board of Education in Bensenville over the handling of a staff member accused of inappropriate conduct years ago and only removed this week.
The meeting was packed with many calling for the resignation of Superintendent James Ongtengco and the entire School Board.
"This is a disgusting matter and all parties involved should be fired," said a parent. "A lot of people's lives have been damaged, because of one person. You covered it up for nine years.
One speaker called herself “a survivor.”
"You failed to support me and other young girls who were assaulted and groomed by a monster that you protected, empowered, and promoted," she said.
"I would never wish what I have experienced on anyone and I pray that none of your daughters have not and do not suffer the karma from your atrocious involvement in this predator's behavior."
A young woman said it makes not only her "sick to her stomach, but the whole community sick."
The superintendent read a statement saying the allegations against the staff member were reported to police and the Department of Children and Family Services.
Someone shouted, “Show the proof" in response.
