(670 The Score) The Bears have fired running backs coach David Walker, a source confirmed.
The news was first reported by The Athletic, which said the team's human resources department was involved in this departure.
Walker was with the Bears since 2022, when he was hired by head coach Matt Eberflus.
Walker is the second assistant coach to suddenly depart the Bears this season. Alan Williams, the former defensive coordinator, resigned in September citing health and family. ESPN later reported Williams was let go due to inappropriate activity and that human resources was involved with that exit.
The Bears have not confirmed the firing of Walker. Eberflus is scheduled to address reporters later Wednesday morning.
