There’s something cooking at a northwest suburban bakery that’s been around for 66 years.
Jarosch Bakery in Elk Grove Village has been celebrating its anniversary all week with specials on baked goods.
Chris Kowal took over for the longtime owners last year.
He says while donuts and sweet rolls have been moving off the shelves, he doesn’t expect to move the bakery until after the new year.
Jarosch and other existing businesses are relocating to a different spot within the plaza at Higgins and Arlington Heights Road as it is redeveloped.
During this anniversary week, Kowal says he’s heard from customers who’ve turned to Jarosch to help celebrate weddings, birthdays, graduations and other milestones over the years.
