(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago Police say a 17-year-old is charged in the murder of a 70-year-old woman in Hegewisch earlier this month.
It was early Aug. 16 when Yvonne Ruzich was parked outside the store where she worked on Baltimore Avenue near 133rd.
She had been talking with her stepson when a car pulled up and two people got out. One of them opened fire, and Ruzich was later pronounced dead.
Now, Chicago Police say a 17-year-old male is charged with first-degree murder.
They say he was arrested in Pullman near 106th and Cottage Grove.
