Teen suspected of shooting, killing woman inside her South Shore home: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A woman is dead after being gunned down by a teenager on the South SideThursday afternoon.

Chicago Police were called to 68th and Cornell Avenue in the South Shore Neighborhood at around 4 p.m.

Police said it appears 43-year-old Tatanisha Jackson got home and was approached by a 17-year-old with a gun.

Police allege the teen then shot Jackson in the head four times.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Thus far, police have not made any arrests. Police said a firearm was recovered from the scene.
