Three people were shot Wednesday across Chicago, including a 17-year-old who was critically wounded in the Little Village neighborhood.
The teen boy was near the sidewalk about 5:50 p.m. in the 3700 block of West 26th Street when a green vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said. He was struck in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
Police brought a person of interest into the area for questioning.
Minutes earlier, a man was sitting in his vehicle when shots were fired in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.
The 47-year-old was in his vehicle about 5:35 p.m. in the 2800 block of West 38th Street when he heard shots and saw a male shooting from inside a green Honda SUV, police said.
He was grazed by a bullet in the leg, police said. He was in good condition and refused medical attention.
A 21-year-old woman was shot Wednesday night in Back of the Yards on the South Side.
About 7:20 p.m., the woman was standing in the corner at 53rd and South Aberdeen Street when two males walked up to her and fired shots, police said. She was struck in the leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
Two people were shot, one fatally, Tuesday in Chicago.
