Application process to fill vacancies with Cook County Judicial Circuit Court open

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There are a couple of vacancies on the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court and the State Supreme Court is trying to fill those appointed seats.

Illinois' Supreme Court Chief Justice Mary Jane Tice has begun the application process for three at large judicial vacancies.

The three current judges with the Cook County Judicial Circuit are retiring.

To be eligible for consideration for an appointment to one of the seats, applicants must be a lawyer in good standing, licensed to practice law in Illinois, and a Cook County resident.  There is also an evaluation and screening process.

The deadline for submitting the application is 4 p.m. on March 30.
