Caitlin Tracey’s husband is expected to appear for a court hearing Monday morning, facing murder charges in her death.

Adam Beckerink, 47, was charged with first-degree murder in Tracey’s death but first served a 93-day sentence in the Berrien County jail in Michigan for domestic abuse against Tracey. He was extradited Monday.

Beckerink is scheduled to appear before a judge at about 11:30 a.m. at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on the Southwest Side.

Tracey’s body was found Oct. 27, 2024, after plunging more than 20 floors from his high rise and questions immediately swirled about her husband, Adam Beckerink, who had a history of alleged domestic abuse.

On the one-year anniversary of her death, Beckerink was named in an arrest warrant for murder, officials said.

Beckerink, a Chicago-based tax attorney who was fired as a partner at Duane Morris LLP after the case became public, was briefly detained by police following Tracey’s death after police said he lied on a missing person report he filed for Tracey hours before her body was discovered.

He said he had not seen her in a month, but his apartment building surveillance video footage had shown the two together on Oct. 24, days before she was found dead.
