CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A pair of off-duty Chicago Police officers were victims of an armed robbery late Friday night in the South Loop.
Chicago police said three women, ages 26, 28 and 30, were confronted by an armed man while walking near 23rd and Wabash, shortly after 11 p.m.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported two of the women were off-duty CPD officers, while the third was a Chicago Aviation Department Employee.
One of the officers, a 30-year-old woman, was trying to pull her badge from her purse when the gunman pointed his firearm at her and told her "don't reach," according to a police report obtained by the Sun-Times.
Among the items stolen were their Chicago police IDs, badges and firearm owner identification cards, the report said. A city Department of Aviation ID and badge was also taken from the third victim.
None of the victims were hurt.
The suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
