CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two children in Chicago have died of seasonal flu.
The Chicago Department of Public Health (CPDH) says the two children who died of influenza were under the age of two-years-old.
The CPDH recommends flu vaccines for everyone over the age of six months.
Chicago did not have any pediatric flu deaths last year.
The deaths come as city and suburban health departments deal with an uptick in respiratory illnesses and norovirus.
