The Chicago-based airline's new premium seating option, the "Relax Row," will be featured on United's new fleet of long-haul planes.
The dedicated rows of three seats will be located in Economy class and can transform into a couch or a bed that customers will have all to themselves. It will include up to 12 sections per plane.
United said the option is ideal for families traveling with small children and travelers who want the value of United Economy but with a little extra comfort.
Customers will also receive extra amenities, including a mattress, specially sized blankets and extra pillows. The planes will also feature larger TV screens.
The airline plans to launch the "Relax Row" in 2027 and aims to offer it on more than 200 Boeing 787 and 777 widebody aircrafts by 2030.
United has not yet provided information on the cost or booking options.
