CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Roscoe Village Burger Fest will return Friday for its 15th annual burger competition and festival.

The festival will bring 10 Chicago restaurants to Belmont and Damen Avenues July 15 – 17, where they’ll compete for the title of Chicago’s Best Burger.
Roscoe Village Burger Fest will present two Best Burger awards, as they’ve done in years’ past. Festival attendees will be able to vote for their favorite burger throughout the weekend, and the so-called “People’s Choice” for Best Burger will be announced on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
The Roscoe Village Burger Fest’s 2022 critics will also announce a winner on Saturday night. This year’s critics include Ald. Scott Waguespack (32nd) and Samantha Esposito from Chicago Burger Bible.
Reggies Chicago, the “Critics’ Choice” winner in 2021, will return to the festival. Reggies, though, will face stiff competition as the restaurant seeks a repeat. Other vendors include Fatso’s Last Stand, Select Cut Steakhouse, and Lincoln Park’s Tandoor Char House.
Epic Burger, Lola’s Coney Island, Lush Food and Drink, the StopAlong, and Byron’s Hot Dogs — a Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame inductee — will also have a booth at the festival.
In addition to the burger vendors, the Roscoe Village Burger Fest will include musical entertainment each day of the festival.
Although the festival is free, organizers posted on their website that a $10 suggested donation will benefit the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will run from 5 – 10 p.m. on Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
