West Side construction worker killed, another hurt after being electrically shocked

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A worker is dead, another has been hospitalized after being electrically shocked on the West Side Tuesday morning.

Sources told WBBM the incident happened on a construction lift, a "bucket," near Ogden and Homan avenues about 8:30 a.m.


A 33-year-old man was killed and a 26-year-old man was seriously injured, hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition, after they were shocked.

Sources told WBBM the workers were with a private company. They were not public utility or City workers.

Chicago police are investigating.
