GENEVA, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A west suburban man is charged with damaging a police car and endangering a child.
Geneva police were called to a home on North Street earlier this month after receiving calls of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they say 33- year- old Patrick Cox ran outside toward a squad car and started hitting it damaging the windshield and passenger side of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the young girl was seen running from Cox's home, which police say was littered with trash. The Kane County Chronicle reports Cox later admitted to taking hallucinogenic mushrooms in addition to other drugs and alcohol.
He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is due back in court next month.
