(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Miami Dolphins will mix it up with the Chicago Bears this week in joint practices. Will things stay relatively peaceful?

WBBM Newsradio’s Jeff Joniak notes the scuffling at a recent Cowboys-Rams session, but former Bears player Tom Thayer isn’t worried about a major blowup.

“Both head coaches will take control of their roster, and if they do get into some kind of confrontation, it will end immediately,” he said. “The coaches will talk to their players, and you’re going to have to get back to constructive work.

“I’ve been a part of these combo practices, and sometimes they have a chance to slide that way.”

After this week’s practices, the Bears will host the Dolphins at Soldier Field Saturday for a preseason contest at noon. It will be broadcast on WBBM Newsradio.
