A woman posing as a dentist in suburban Schaumburg has been arrested and accused of practicing medicine without a license.
Following complaints from patients who say Monica Davis allegedly gave them fake braces, and one person who had a chipped tooth after a visit, the alleged self-proclaimed dentist handed herself into Schaumburg Police. She is charged with a felony.
Investigators say this wasn't the first time Davis had a run-in with the law. According to CBS 2, she was arrested in January by police in Nevada on similar charges.
Aside from potential criminal trouble, Davis could also be fined up to $10,000 for each event.
A hearing is set for Tuesday.
