CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A woman is in good condition after being rescued by Chicago police from an abandoned Far South Side home.
The 36-year-old woman was found on Saturday afternoon by officers inside a vacated property at 119th and Eggletson. A passerby heard screams coming from the house, which led police to the scene. There, the woman was reportedly discovered chained to a bedroom. She was freed and then transported to Little Company of Mary Hospital.
A sexual assault and kidnaping investigation is underway.
