Someone opened fire at a nightclub in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, early Sunday morning, resulting in two people being killed and 10 others being injured.

Officers responded to the shooting at 1:27 a.m. on Sunday at the Taboo Nightclub and Lounge, Cedar Rapids Police shared.

The two victims have not been identified, and the conditions of those injured were not shared by police either, NBC News reported.

There has not been any information offered from police on a potential suspect, but they shared there is no threat to public safety.

Officers with Crime Scene Investigators were still on the scene of the nightclub as of Sunday afternoon, according to KCRG.

The club was hosting a 90s themed night, according to the club’s social media and the owner told KCRG he is cooperating with police however he can.

The shooting happened a day after a separate shooting occurred in Cedar Rapids that targeted an off-duty police officer. Shots hit the officer’s home and squad car, but luckily no one was injured.

Cedar Rapids mayor Tiffany O’Donnell shared a statement calling for the shootings and violence to end.

“Our hearts are with those impacted by the incident last night. This is not Cedar Rapids. This is not who we are,” O’Donnell said. “I want to thank our police officers for their swift response last night and their hard work every day keeping us safe.”
