If you're still humming 'I'll be there for you,' get ready: 1996 calendars featuring your favorite stars and shows popular in that era can be reused in 2024.

Thanks to both 1996 and 2024 starting on a Monday and containing a leap year, the days of the week and the days of the month will line up exactly, allowing those old calendars of Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls, the cast of Friends, Seinfeld, or Home Improvement, or of just Pamela Anderson will be ready to be used once more.

The recycled calendars come at a time when nostalgia for years past has been at an all-time high.

Whether it be dramatic retellings of events that happened decades ago, sports documentaries, reforming of pop groups, or remakes of classic shows and movies, nostalgia for the 90s is at an all-time high.

So, if you’re headed to your childhood bedroom to find the calendars your parents have refused to throw away, here are some pop culture events you might find.

In the world of music, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion were at the top of the charts throughout 1996.

Top movies from the year included the first Mission: Impossible, Romeo + Juliet, Twister, Space Jam, and Jerry Maguire.

Popular figures in 1996 included President Bill Clinton, who was seeking a second term; the Chicago Bulls, who were in the midst of their best season ever; Leonardo DiCaprio, who was just arriving as a major actor; and rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot and killed.

If your mom didn’t decide to keep the memorabilia of your youth, don’t worry, as some have started selling their 1996 calendars online, though prices have been climbing for the more popular themes.
