The case of two Tennessee teens who went missing 21 years ago may have been solved by a scuba diving YouTuber who found the car they were last seen in at the bottom of a local river, according to local authorities.
The YouTuber Jeremy Beau Sides and his channel Exploring With Nug is known for using sonar technology while he dives and solving missing person cases.
Sides was looking into the case of Erin Foster, 18, and Jeremy Bechtel, 17, who vanished on April 3, 2000, after leaving Foster's home, according to the White County Sheriff's Office.
In a news release, Sheriff Steve Page said that Foster's family alerted him about the YouTuber on Nov. 28.

Sides had gone to look for the car the teens were last seen in, and his search brought him to Sparta, Tennessee.
The sheriff reached out to the YouTuber, telling him to search around Highway 84 in the Calfkiller River, in the area where the two went missing, the release said.
This tip led to Sides finding Foster's rusted Pontiac Grand Am submerged in the river on Nov. 30.
Sides then notified the sheriff's office. Page, with investigators, arrived on the scene to confirm the vehicle matched that of Foster's, the news release said.
"I'm lost for words," Sides said in his video. "I'm so glad I could find them. I'm so sad that that's where they ended up. I can't believe — it's been over 20 years that they've been sitting there waiting for someone to find them."
In the vehicle, the investigators found human remains that will be sent for genetic DNA testing and potential comparisons with dental records, investigators told WTVF.
The Bechtel and Foster families were notified of the discovery but have not commented.
On the other hand, Page is giving all the credit to Sides and what he did.
"I give Jeremy the credit for finding that car. All I did was kind of point him in the right direction, and he got in the water and found them," Page said to NBC News. "It's so good to be able to bring closure to these families."
Page also said that they are examining how the teenagers ended up in the river, but at the moment, it looks like it was an accident.
