Authorities are searching for three Indianapolis residents wanted for stealing valuables from cemeteries in at least nine states.

Their photos have been widely circulated on line and there are arrest warrants for 52-year-old Angela Garrett, 32-year-old Porsche Bancroft, and 33-year-old Drake Lee Milam.

A mother and daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend.

They’re accused of breaking into mausoleums and niches, containing urns with ashes,

“What a horrible person you are if you decide to steal from the dead,” said Corporal Cole Brazee, with the Orange County, Florida Sheriff’s Office in a video posted on social media.

He said there are 20 cases in Florida and that number may be a lot higher.

“These three people are going to cemeteries, breaking into deceased peoples’ niches, and stealing their family heirlooms.”

It’s alleged they’ve stolen valuables from cemeteries in Florida, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, North Carolina and New York.

"Typically in these mausoleums inside of a niche, their urn is inside of it. Their loves ones will leave, like, some jewelry that meant something to them in that niche with their remains," Brazee said.

“There could be a significant amount of individuals that have been victimized that just don’t know it yet," he added. "If you haven’t visited your loved one in a while and you know they’re in a niche, make sure that your property is still there.”
