CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Three people were charged Thursday in the strangling of a pregnant teenage mother who was coaxed into a Southwest Side home and had her unborn son cut from her womb, police said.
Clarisa Figueroa and her daughter Desiree Figueroa face murder charges in the death of Marlen Ochoa-Lopez, Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said at a news conference.
The boyfriend of the older woman, Piotr Bobak, was charged with concealing a homicidal death, police said.
The three were questioned by police after they were arrested Tuesday at Clarisa Figueroa’s home in Scottsdale, where Ochoa-Lopez’s body was found dead in a garbage can on Wednesday.
Judge Susana Ortiz ordered all three held without bail during a hearing Friday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
