CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Hip, hip, hooray! It's Portillo's 56th Birthday! And what better way to celebrate than with some cake?
Portillo's is sharing it's birthday celebration with all patrons by offering 56-cent slices of their famous chocolate cake.
On Tuesday, April 9, guests can enjoy a slice of Portillo's famous chocolate cake for just 56-cents, with the purchase of any sandwich (including hot dogs), entrée salad, pasta, or ribs.
"Every year, we look forward to celebrating our special day with this one-of-a-kind treat as a way to say 'thank you' to our fans for their continued support," said Portillo's CEO, Michael Osanloo, in a statement. "We couldn't think of a better way to honor this milestone!"
The offer is valid at all locations while supplies last and is valid on online orders. One cake slice per online order, though.
And if that was not sweet enough, Portillo's announced this year they are celebrating their birthday all month long. (But not in Illinois, though.)
Starting April 2, Portillo's will be giving away various surprise offers to guests who place an order in the drive thru during the month of April in all locations outside of Illinois. Giveaways include a free large fry, $1 hot dog with entrée purchase, and $5 off $15 on an online order, among others.
The surprise offers are available at Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin restaurant location.
And don't forget if you like their chocolate cake, just as much as they do, why not enjoy a FREE slice on your birthday? Guests can celebrate their birthdays with Portillo's and receive a free slice of the famous chocolate cake by joining the birthday club.
