(670 The Score) The Bears have a couple key starters on defense who are in jeopardy of missing their game against the Texans on Sunday.
Bears linebacker Roquan Smith (hip) and cornerback Jaylon Johnson (quad) on Friday were each listed as questionable to play Sunday. Neither player practiced Friday.
The team is "hopeful" for Smith to play, coach Matt Eberflus told reporters at Halas Hall on Friday. Johnson's injury occurred during practice Thursday afternoon.
The Bears also listed receiver Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring) as doubtful to play. He was a limited participant in practice this week. Linebacker Matt Adams (hamstring), safety Dane Cruikshank (hamstring) and tight end Ryan Griffin (Achilles) were ruled out.
Kickoff between the Bears (1-1) and Texans (0-1-1) comes at noon CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
