(670 The Score) The Bears are down to their third-string option at center, and it's not quite clear whom that may be.
After placing veteran Cody Whitehair on the COVID-19 reserve list Friday and ruling out backup Sam Mustipher with a knee injury, the Bears didn't reveal who will start at center when they visit the Titans on Sunday.
The Bears could turn to undrafted rookie Dieter Eiselen, who has experience playing center at Yale. Aaron Neary, who has played one NFL game as a center, is also an option. Either player would need to be activated from the practice squad. Rookie guard Arlington Hambright and second-year guard Alex Bars are also options, though neither has played center before.
In a Zoom call Friday afternoon, Bears coach Matt Nagy declined to name a center or reveal whether the team would utilize its practice squad options.
The Bears also ruled out backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder), defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (shoulder) and nose tackle John Jenkins (ankle) for Sunday. The Titans listed star pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney (knee) as questionable.
Kickoff between the Bears (5-3) and Titans (5-2) comes at noon CT Sunday from Nissan Stadium.
