The Bears traded picks Nos. 148 and 150 in the fifth round in separates deals. The Bears traded No. 148 to the Bills in exchange for the 168th (fifth round) and 203rd (sixth round) picks. Chicago then moved the 150th selection to Houston for the 166th (fifth round) and 207th (sixth round) picks. The Bears now have seven selections to use Saturday, the third and final day of the draft.

Prior to those trades, the Bears sent their 2023 sixth-round pick to the Chargers in exchange for a pair of seventh-round selections at Nos. 254 and 255 overall. In doing so, Chicago essentially is cutting the line on players it could sign as undrafted free agents after the draft.

The Bears currently have just 64 players on their 90-man roster. They only had six picks entering this draft before making their series of trades.
