Murray has been dealing with an ankle injury since an Oct. 28 game against the Packers. Previously considered an MVP candidate before the injury, Murray hasn't played since. He has completed 72.7% of his passes for 2,276 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions over eight starts.

The Cardinals also ruled star receiver DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) as active against the Bears. However, he could be limited in his role Sunday playing in poor weather conditions at Soldier Field. Hopkins has 35 receptions for 486 yards and seven touchdowns in eight games this season.

Bears linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) is active. He has 70 solo tackles in 11 games this season.

The Bears previously named veteran Andy Dalton their starting quarterback for Sunday. Rookie Justin Fields (ribs) is inactive and will miss his second straight contest.

The Bears' other inactives are defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (ankle), receiver Allen Robinson (hamstring), defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. (ribs), receiver Marquise Goodwin (foot/ribs), running back Damien Williams (calf) and cornerback Teez Tabor.

The Bears (4-7) and Cardinals (9-2) kick off at noon CT Sunday from Soldier Field.
