Ogunjobi, who will turn 28 in June, will sign a three-year deal worth up to $40.5 million and with $26.35 million guaranteed, Brad Biggs of the Tribune reported.

Ogunjobi had seven sacks in 16 games with the Bengals last season. He has 21.5 sacks and 41 tackles for a loss in 76 career games across five NFL seasons. He was selected by the Browns in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, spending his first four years in Cleveland before signing in Cincinnati.

Ogunjobi is the first major roster addition by new Bears general manager Ryan Poles, who was hired by Chicago in January. Ogunjobi will be an important piece for new coach Matt Eberflus as he shifts the Bears' defense from a 3-4 base to a 4-3 identity.

The Bears are planning to release defensive lineman Eddie Goldman. Chicago also has two of its own key free agents on the defensive line in Akiem Hicks and Bilal Nichols.
