LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — The Bears have several key players managing injuries ahead of their season finale against the Packers on Sunday.
Bears tight end Cole Kmet (knee), cornerback Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) and receiver Darnell Mooney (concussion) were each held out of practice Wednesday, head coach Matt Eberflus said.
Kmet and Johnson dealt with their injuries while playing in the Bears' 37-17 win against the Falcons on Sunday, a game that Mooney missed while he was in the concussion protocol. Kmet was limited to just 18% of the Bears' offensive snaps Sunday.
Eberflus expressed optimism that Kmet and Johnson could each be cleared to play Sunday.
Bears long snapper Patrick Scales (foot) was also held out of practice Wednesday. The team signed veteran long snapper Matt Overton to the practice squad.
Bears star receiver DJ Moore was a limited participant in practice Wednesday as he deals with an ankle ailment.
The Bears (7-9) and Packers (8-8) kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday from Lambeau Field.
