(670 The Score) Cubs star Kris Bryant left in the sixth inning of Chicago's game at Cleveland on Tuesday evening because he was "under the weather," the team said.
Nick Martini took Bryant's spot in the batting order while the Cubs moved left fielder Joc Pederson over to Bryant's spot in center field as Martini went to left.
The loss of Bryant only compounded the Cubs' depth issues. Shortstop Javier Baez was scratched pregame from the lineup due to lower back tightness. The Cubs currently have outfielder Ian Happ (rib contusion), infielder Nico Hoerner (left forearm strain), outfielder Jake Marisnick (hamstring) and right-hander Jake Arrieta (right thumb abrasion) on the injured list.
Bryant was 1-for-3 with a double before leaving Tuesday, improving his batting average to .308 on the season. The Cubs trailed the Indians 3-2 in the eighth inning.
