NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WBEN) - Another person has died from coronavirus in Niagara County, bringing the county's death toll to 18.
The latest death was a 65-year-old man who had underlying health conditions, according to the Niagara County Department of Health.
There were 32 more people who are confirmed to have coronavirus, bringing the county total to 326. Niagara County Chairwoman Rebecca Wydysh said that the 32 new cases were the largest in a single day, though its because of the increased of testing capacity. There are 1,440 people who were tested for coronavirus.
"We are certainly not in the downward swing yet," Wydysh said Thursday.
Wednesday's statistics by Niagara County saw more recoveries than active cases, though the new statistics on Thursday indicates there are an equal number of active and recovered cases. There are currently 154 people fighting coronavirus, including 18 in the hospital. There are 154 people who have recovered.
