Amherst, NY (WBEN) Multiple fire companies responded to a fire at the Boulevard Towers Apartment Complex on Meyer Rd. Sunday morning. Amherst Police arrived at the scene, saw smoke and evacuated the residents. One of the residents was taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban for evaluation due to smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is being investigated although preliminary reports indicate that it was a kitchen fire that caused an estimated $65,000 in damage to the building.
