According to the coronavirus heat map in Erie County there are still 107 deaths.
The latest information from Erie County shows there are 240 people hospitalized with coronavirus. There are 108 people in ICU and 91 who need a ventilator. The 240 hospitalizations are the most this month.
Poloncarz said that the hospitalization data is the key to determining the peak. Erie County no longer supplies data on recovered cases and active cases because those are only collected based on self-reporting. Poloncarz told reporters on Wednesday that because not everyone self-reported their recovery, they would be not be sending out accurate information.
Poloncarz announced on Thursday he will no longer conduct daily coronavirus updates. Instead, he will hold the press briefings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
