Cuomo offers NY stadiums for any MLB games

Miami Marlins COVID19

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) As reports circulate the Miami Marlins have more players testing positive for coronavirus, Governor Cuomo is offering Major League Baseball the opportunity to host more games in New York's stadiums.

"New York State has one of the lowest infection rates in the United States. New York State has a full deparment of health protocol and testing system in place," says Cuomo, who notes the Mets and Yankees are hosting games at Citi Field and Yankee Stadium, respectively, while the Toronto Blue Jays will play most home games at Sahlen Field here in Buffalo. "I offer MLB if you're having problems, playing in other states, come play here," says Cuomo.

Cuomo says if MLB takes him up on the offer, teams can fly in on private aircraft, go from the airport to a hotel, where they would be quarantined and tested. He adds test results would come back, then play ball and leave town under state protocols.
