Washington (WBEN) - David Bellavia found himself on the pitchers mound again and in the national spotlight Sunday as he threw out the ceremonial first pitch in game three of the 2019 NLDS playoff baseball series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park.
The pitch was described as near perfect and over the plate and Bellavia told WBEN it was a tremendous honor to be on the field with one of his dearest friends and fellow Iraq War veteran Omarr Hardaway.
Shortly after receiving the Medal of Honor, Bellavia threw out the first pitch at the Mets/Yankees game on Independence Day.
