Erie County Sheriff's investigating Clarence hit-and-run

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Erie County Sheriff's Office is looking for your help in finding the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run on Thursday.

They're looking for a black or dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee with chrome accents on the sides. The car struck a person on Main Street at Shimerville around 2:30 p.m. Police said the vehicle has significant damage to its front end and is missing a bumper, grill, and fog light.


The driver of the jeep was described as a black male wearing a black winter cap. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Shimerville Road towards Wehrle Drive.

The victim is currently in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
