(WBEN) A fatal fire in Batavia yesterday morning. It happened in the 100 block of Evans Street and was reported just after 7am.
Batavia Fire fighters were able to pull a man from the second floor but he died at a local hospital. Officials say a dog also died in the blaze.
The home was filled with heavy smoke by the time firefighters arrived.
