(WBEN) An overnight fire in an apartment building in Akron has left one woman dead. The first call went out around 12:20am in the 100 block of Buell Street. 6 area fire companies aided Akron in fighting the blaze. The woman killed lived in the front apartment. The American Red Cross is assisting two displaced residents from the rear apartment. Damage to the home estimated at $230,000. There were no other reported injuries. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
