BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Family members of the people who lost their lives in the Colgan Flight 3407 tragedy in 2009 gathered at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Monday for a wreath-laying ceremony.
The ceremony, which featured a wreath presented by the two daughters of Kristin Safran, who died in the accident, also had family members from the fifty victims place flowers atop the memorial at the cemetery.
Colgan Flight 3407 was traveling from New Jersey to Buffalo on February 12, 2009, when it crashed into a home on Long Street. Fifty people died including the 49 on the plane and Douglas Wielinski, who was inside the home at 6038 Long Street where the plane crashed.
