Fifry different trucks will be rotating throughout the Summer, with 25 at any one time at Larkin Square. At Flying Bison nearby on Seneca Street, there will be another dozen trucks for a neighborhood-wide celebration. "The neat thing is that the trucks come from both Rochester and Buffalo, so every week it's a little bit different. You also see some of your old favorites week to week, so it's a fun, affordable way to have dinner," said Zemsky.
Thanks to Independent Health, a Healthy Option menu item can be found at every food truck. These items have been certified by a nutritionist. Guests can look for a red sticker on each menu.
Food Truck Tuesdays are from 5pm-8pm every Tuesday through October 1st. It goes on rain or shine. But Zemsky said rain is not a problem. "We have weather protected space, a very large wooden boardwalk. You can get the food and eat there or for take-out."
Each week features a live, local band. Tuesday's kickoff features Funktional Flow.
Free parking is available in the surface lots along Exchange Street, with $5 preferred parking in the Larkin Square parking ramp beginning at 5:15pm.
