BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Four more cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Erie County, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to seven as of Sunday evening.
The four new cases include a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s who traveled from New York City and man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s who recently traveled out of state. It is not known at this time where these residents reside.
Three of the tests were performed at the Erie County Public Health Lab while the other was performed at Quest Diagnostics.
Sunday night's announcement comes on the heels of Erie County's first confirmed cases of coronavirus and the ensuing state of emergency. County officials said the investigations on the individual from Buffalo and Grand Island are ongoing, though neither of those individuals worked in a field with direct public contact. They did not address the case involving the person from Clarence.
As of 6 p.m. Sunday, 67 people remain under quarantine.
