Hamburg, NY (WBEN) A proposed hot mix asphalt plant is firing up a number of residents in Hamburg, concerned about environmental impact. It's also gotten the attention of the Erie County executive.
Corey Auerback of Barclay Damon represents AL Asphalt. "Hot mix asphalt is road asphalt used to pave roads and parking lots and will be used in WNY," explains Auerbach.
The planning board will meet on September 4th with a public hearing on the matter before any decision is made.
Supervisor Jim Shaw says he's heard from both sides, but "the requirements of my office dictate that I keep my views to myself for the time being."
