CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN)....Buffalo Sabres' defenseman Mattias Samuelsson has become the latest Erie County resident to pay more than $1 million for a house.
According to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's Office, Samuelsson paid $1.24 million for a four-bedroom, 5,100-square-foot house at 9624 Cobblestone Drive in Clarence's Spaudling Lake subdivision.
Several Sabres' players and coaches live in the Spaulding Lake subdivision.
The deal is the 25th house in Erie County, this year, to sell for more than $1 million and that translates to once every 4.5 days, a house in Erie County sells for north of the $1 million threshold.
Clarence has recorded seven homes, this year, selling for more than $1 million.
Last year, Erie County recorded a record 105 homes that sold for more than $1 million.
The $1 million-plus sales point is considered a key economic touchpoint in the region's residential real estate landscape.
