
(WBEN) Governor Cuomo yesterday announcing that Covid-19 hospitalization numbers and intubations had dropped to an all time low as of Friday.
In addition that 2-percent positive rate from testing in Western New York on Wednesday had dropped back to 1.2-pecenr on Friday. The state average is .67-percent.
In fact in Erie County some 9-thousand people were tested with 28 found positive.
Since the pandemic began over 433-thousand New Yorkers have tested positive
Governor Cuomo also reminded residents of Western New York that rapid testing at eight sites continues thru Wednesday. Residents can call 833-NYSTRNG to make an appointment. On August 27, the governor deployed a testing SWAT team to Western New York to address the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in the region. He also announced the eight sites, which can be found here:
