Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Lockport man is accused of threatening President Trump and a federal judge and his wife.
Federal prosecutors say Jared Marc Brown, 23 of Lockport, was indicted on one count of making a threat against the president, two counts of retaliating against a United States judge, one count of retaliating against a federal law enforcement officer, and one count of mailing a threatening communication. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Brown sent a letter March 25th to a United States Secret Service Special Agent stating, "I'm gonna kill Donald Trump with Anthrax when I get out."
That same day, prosecutors say Brown threatened to assault and murder United States District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, his spouse, and a United States Secret Service Special Agent.
Prosecutors say Brown intended to retaliate against Judge Vilardo and the Secret Service Special Agent on account of the performance of their official duties.
