Man Arrested for Inappropriate Touching of a Child

Amherst, NY (WBEN) A Rochester man is charged with forcibly touching a 10 year old boy in an Amherst shopping plaza.

Police say they responded to a department store in the 1500 block of Niagara Falls Blvd. for a report of a man who had inappropriate contact with a 10 year old boy.

Patrols responded and based on information gathered from the victim and video surveillance the suspect was located at a nearby restaurant. The suspect, 29 year old Michael C. Johnson of Rochester, was taken into custody without incident and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Forcible Touching.

Johnson is being held on Bail.
