Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 43-year-old man from Amherst is dead after a three-car crash on Hopkins Road near Sheridan in Amherst Tuesday night.
Amherst Police responded to the scene around 5:42 p.m.. The unidentified 43-year-old was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on Hopkins Road when he crashed head-on into a Honda Pilot driven by a 56-year-old man from Amherst that was heading south on Hopkins.
A GMC Terrain driven by a 79-year-old woman from Williamsville then crashed into the Honda Pilot.
The Mustang driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other drivers were taken to ECMC and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing. Investigators will canvas the area for video and witnesses.
