AMHERST, N.Y. (WBEN) - Medical personnel inside an ambulance were injured after an accident on Tuesday morning in Amherst.

Amherst Police said that a jeep driven by a 47-year-old man from Williamsville struck a Twin City ambulance on Maple Road. The jeep was traveling north on Youngs Road and collided with the ambulance heading east on Maple.
The ambulance personnel were taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation.
