Niagara County concerned over lack of testing swabs

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WBEN) - Health officials in Niagara County confirmed that a woman on the western side of the county contracted coronavirus from the community.The woman, 42, is currently in isolation at a hospital. She tested positive for the virus on Tuesday and Niagara County was notified by the New York State Department of Health. Officials said she has an underlying health condition and are investigating where she went and who she contacted.“The person is not one of the 14 who was under quarantine as of (Tuesday) and was not on our radar screen,” Legislature Chairman Rebecca Wydysh said.The woman is from the western end of the county, which includes Niagara Falls, Town of Niagara, Lewiston, and Porter.
